This postcard features a gentle scattering of small flower motifs, each one softly blooming with translucent layers of pigment. The blossoms, painted in tender washes of pastel hues-red, opera rose, and blue- drift across the paper like whispers of summer.

I captured these two bell-shaped flowers not only the botanical elegance of the maples, but also a quiet intimacy between them, their forms leaning subtly toward each other in a silent conversation.
